She Continues to Serve

Melissa (left) responded to a plea from Jan (not pictured) to have someone come into their home 1-2 times per month to give Jan a little respite from her 24 hour care for her husband Steve.

Here is Melissa's account of her experience:
Upon my first visit with Jan and Steve I learned that we had several things that connected us. Steve and I both worked for Kaiser, have a mutual acquaintance, and he lives near two of my friends and my church. We also both enjoy cats. Upon my other visits we have chatted about many things and I have been able to provide breaks for Jan and other caregivers. 

Melissa is just one example of the quality volunteers Compassion Network mobilizes to meet needs in the community.
