Summer Volunteer Opportunities
1. Volunteer Info Nights! -- June 15 and July 13
This summer, we'll have two volunteer information nights for those interested in learning more about our ministry, vision, and how you can participate in a deeper way with us.
The first one will be on Monday night, June 15 right after our ongoing ESL program from 6-7:30 p.m. The second will be on Monday, July 13 at the same time.

2. Soccer Camp -- June 22-24
We'll have our first soccer camp on June 22-24 (Monday - Wednesday)! We have a strong team of about 15 soccer players coming from a church in Texas to lead the camp, but we could definitely use more help if any would like to join. There's space for "non" soccer people to help, but we'd especially love you soccer people to join in hopes of being able to do more soccer programs in the future.
Schedule: (sign-up for one or both camps)
-- 9 a.m. - 12 noon --- elementary camp (K-6th grade)
-- 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. --- secondary camp (7th - 12th grade)

3. Kids' Camp -- June 29 - July 3
After a summer off last year (to have a baby!), we're looking forward to doing our fourth Kids' Camp this summer with a visiting team from the Los Angeles area. Although they've planned the program, their team only consists of 7 people, so we need LOTS more help (at least 30 more volunteers). If you have to choose between soccer camp and this camp, please help at this one.

4. Back-to-school backpacks -- last week of July, August 1 (main event)
We'll have our annual back-to-school events the last week of July, with our main event on August 1 in Fremont.
We'll need...
1. Sets of school supplies for each backpack
2. Monetary donations to buy the nicer, bulk backpacks
3. Help with the events.
- The main event will be on August 1 in Fremont from 1-4 p.m.
- We also plan to do events in Concord, Hayward, and San Leandro (dates/ times/ exact locations to be announced as we wait for info from our two visiting teams).
- Sign up for the events will be in a later email

5. ESL Classes and Kids' program -- weekly, Mondays/Wednesdays 4-5:30 p.m.
This summer, we'll continue our regular ESL classes with kids' classes at Centerville Presbyterian Church. Our program is a tutoring format, and we try to get one teacher for each adult student. Teachers are welcome to commit to Mondays or Wednesdays or both. It's also not a problem to miss classes as both teachers and students will come and go throughout the summer. We could especially use more volunteers for our growing kids' program. This is a great opportunity for teens to help!
