Serving Each Other in Need

Every summer, members of our Pillar Baptist Church seek to come together to serve someone in their community who needs help with yard work. This year, it was a joy to help out Esther, a longtime volunteer with Soup Talk and various other organizations in Fremont. Her heart for the homeless, underserved communities, and those who have yet to know Jesus, was an immense encouragement to all of us as we helped clean out their front and back yards, and organized their garage. While Esther and Dan were physically unable to move boxes, weed their yard, or pick up debris due to their different circumstances, it was such a privilege to serve them in this way. What a perfect picture of the body of Christ loving and serving each other, so that we can be a greater witness to those around us!
