Reason for Giving

This is a picture that captures a moment in a fantastic connection made between Mareema (left) and Karen (right). 

Mareema needed a clipper card to frequently go to doctor appointments. Karen, who goes to Cedars Church, responded. Sometimes these encounters can be cursory, a simple exchange of goods. This one, however, was different.

Roslind from the Compassion Network office gave Karen Mareema's contact information. Roslind speaks of Mareema as a "beautiful human".

Karen said, "What a wonderful experience meeting this young lady. It wasn’t about giving her the Clipper card, it was about instantaneous friendship"  Now who doesn't want that?!

She also added, "I’m going to help her get connected to a young adult Christian group and buy her a cross necklace. Such divine timing, as she needed the Clipper card for today’s appointment!"

We expect to hear more of their continued relationship that only God could put together.
